Job Description

We are currently seeking an Assistant Plant Manager to join our team! This is a unique opportunity to take on a new challenge and advance your career within a rapidly growing company, specializing in sheet metal.

As this is a newly created position, many responsibilities will be added gradually. The role will evolve based on the daily needs of the plant manager and the president. The successful candidate will primarily support the coordination of plant operations while ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, labor standards, safety, environmental policies, and corporate practices. The position will also include management responsibilities, manufacturing tasks, and involvement in the hiring process. Tasks related to receiving shipments and inventory adjustments will also be part of the role.

It’s important to note that this position involves approximately 70% on-site work and 30% administrative work. Strong skills are essential to explain and execute plans and procedures to production staff.

Flexible working hours are required for this role. Experience in the sheet metal industry is mandatory.

The Deputy Plant Manager position provides vital support to our Plant Director and President.

Requirements:
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience;
  • Intermediate in English/French (speaking and writing).
Requested skills:
  • Reading manufacturing blueprints
  • Machinery setup, preparation, and adjustments
  • Use of measuring instruments (callipers, height gauges, micrometres)
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
  • Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle
  • Ability to alternate between shop floor and office work

Note: All educational backgrounds and experience levels will be considered.

Commissions:

Commissions or performance bonus program offered.

Salary:
  • Competitive salary according to experience and qualifications.
  • Work schedule: 40 hours, ends at 1 pm on Friday.
